Delivery of translations via pdf

A lot of institutions, governmental and administrative agencies are now accepting certified notarized translations of documents prepared by Legal Translation Systems by pdf, rather than the paper document. Our PDF delivered translations contain notarized, numbered affidavits of accuracy that can be verified on the internet (protecting your identity), as well as seal, and signature of an ATA member translator with over 20 years of experience in the translation of foreign documents. Each document is saved in a separate PDF document. The first page is always the affidavit of accuracy, followed by the actual translation page. This also applies to translations used in other countries, such as Canada, Australia, UK, Switzerland, Finland, etc. which normally accept our translations. This also involves savings for the client, as well as the possibility of using the same translation in multiple institutions. Therefore, check where you are submitting the document, whether they accept PDF documents. At the present time we are studying additional technology to ensure the security of our translations, thus protecting your investment. Any questionsinfo@legaltranslationsystems.com

Certified translation of handwritten Cuban documents

Although rare, every once in a while we are required to provide certified translations of handwritten documents, which can be a challenge. Among the handwritten documents are birth, marriage and death certificates, medical reports, medical prescriptions, hospital records, personal letters, and even Court rulings. If you do have a handwritten document that you require translation, we ask that you submit the original document, plus the typed text of the document in the original language. This will be compared to the original document, and the translation based on the two documents. If you are unable to read the original document, illegible portions will be referred as “illegible” on the translation.

Mailing of certified translations of Cuban documents

Many of our clients pick up their certified translations in one of three locations in Florida and New York, while others take delivery of PDF documents through email.A large number of clients prefers to receive their documents at home.

Since last year, we no longer send documents by regular mail, for we have found a deterioration of this particular method of delivery. We do send documents via Priority Mail, and a fee of US$5.00 is charged. Priority Mail cannot be traced.Clients that need faster service may request Fedex service next day (starts at US$37.00) and Express Mail (US$19.00). Fedex is more reliable, however, double the price of Express Mail. Both shipping methods are subject to tracing. Multiple document translations might cost more than the figures mentioned above. Next day service is not available in all USA locations. Saturday delivery is much more expensive, and Sunday delivery, not available.

Cuban Birth certificate certified translations

Translated birth certificates are required for a number of reasons in the United States. The most important use is for Immigration. Additionally, translated birth certificates can be requested by Universities, schools, public agencies in general, Social Security, Courts of all types, insurance companies, etc. Legal Translation Systems does full translations of your birth certificate, rather than “summary translations” or template translations done by many other agencies. These can be rejected, for they normally miss important information.

We have done many thousands of birth certificate translations since 1982.
